Environment Probe is financially independent of governments, corporations, and unions. The bulk of its funding comes in the form of tax-creditable donations from the general public. The organization has received grants from several charitable foundations, including the Helen McCrea Peacock Foundation, the Donner Canadian Foundation, the Atlas Economic Research Foundation, the Earhart Foundation, and the Margaret Laurence Fund. It also earns income from publication sales and fees for articles, papers, and speaking engagements.
